Date: August 2008 - the New ALOS Planetary Camera 41-II

ALOS and HANNALA are pleased to announce the introduction of the ALOS Planetary Camera 41-II. The new ALOS Planetary Camera 41-II is going to replace the ALOS Planetary Camera 41. The ALOS Planetary Camera 41 - Dual Head Camera will be discontinued without a replacement.

The new model 41-II has the same specifications as the 41. However, the inside of camera has been greatly redesigned in order to meet the European RoHS standard. At the same time the lens mechanism has been designed. Due to this many components of the camera has changed. RoHS stands for 'the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment'. The mandate limits the amount of lead, cadmium, mercury, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame-retardants found in new electronic and electrical equipment.

The manufacturing and raw material cost of new parts has increased the cost for the ALOS Planetary Camera 41-II.
